【KAMAKURA】
Located 1 hour from Tokyo, Kamakura is a very famous small city. If we define Kamakura by one word, it would be “charm”. Yokohama was a small fisherman's town before its harbor was built-in 1859. The harbor was famous for the business of silk in the Meiji period, and after that, it started to be famous for the importation of raw material and exportation of processed products. Recently the city has experienced rapid economic growth, competing with Tokyo. You can find the best example of growth in Minato Mirai 21, a popular district and there you can find the highest skyscraper called “Landmark Tower". It is higher than the Japanese government’s buildings in Tokyo. Another famous place in Yokohama is "China Town". Yokohama has a port of several foreign country groups that visited on weekends and also thousands of visitors from Tokyo or other cities come to shop, lunch, and dinner.
