Nara One Day Tour (from Kyoto)
Nara, one of the oldest cities in Japan with truly wonderful buildings, has a
population of approx.
400,000. Nara is the second most important tourist
destination after Kyoto which has many cultural relics. Todai-Ji temple is the main attraction of Nara, which is the largest wooden construction in the world (40 meters high by 47 meters long).
We can find
Big Bronze Buddha of 16 meters high, 120 kilos of gold, and 430 tons of bronze. In Nara sacred Deer Park we visit the colorful Kasuga Taisha Shrine built by the Fujiwara family in 768. This shrine has more than 3,000 ancient lanterns, which are illuminated in the middle of August and early February for its festival.
